Dee Gerken

Dee Gerken is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in nursing and education. Since 1999, Dee has been a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner and Instructor, while concurrently serving as a Nurse Practitioner at United Health Group/Optum Health since October 2014, conducting in-home assessments of members. Previous roles include Nurse Practitioner at the Veterans Health Administration, focusing on Home Based Primary Care from September 2012 to March 2014, and Nurse Practitioner at Coconino County Public Health Services District from 2006 to September 2012. In academia, Dee has contributed as an Adjunct Faculty member and Professor Emeritus at College of the Desert. Educational qualifications include a post-MSN Nurse Practitioner degree and an MSN in Clinical Nurse Specialist Maternal Child/Mental Health from Azusa Pacific University, a BSN from Michigan State University, and a BA in Theology/Philosophy from John Carroll University.
