About us:
More often than not, the plants people step over on their way to work are some of the most nutritionally dense and medicinally powerful on the planet. Healing Weeds exists to close the gap between that fact and our collective awareness of it.

Founded by forager and trainee medical herbalist Maria Fernandez Garcia, Healing Weeds delivers foraging walks, herbal medicine workshops and seasonal health and wellbeing programmes across Bristol and beyond. We are a CIC which means our work is grounded in equity and accessibility, revinvesting our profits to provide more access to this education.

What we do:
Foraging walks
2.5-hour guided walks combining plant identification and practical skills including harvesting ethics and medicinal education. Run year-round in many of Bristol's green spaces and available for private groups, team events and larger corporate bookings.

Herbal medicine workshops
Practical sessions in making infused oils, tinctures, balms, decoctions and wild tea blends. Participants leave with products they've made themselves and the knowledge to make more when they get home.

Seasonal health and wellbeing programmes
Nature-connection sessions supporting mental, emotional and physical health outcomes for patients and members - designed for organisations, community groups and healthcare partners.

Education and training
Ethical herbalism and foraging curriculum for youth and adult organisations looking to embed wild plant knowledge and literacy into existing healthcare, educational and environmental programmes.
