Health Research Union (HRU) is one of the leading non-governmental organizations in the field of public health, with 22 years of experience in implementing projects in this direction. The activities of HRU mainly focused on prevention, control, awareness rising and treatment of infectious diseases (HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, viral hepatitis, respiratory infections, etc.) and immunological disorders. In addition, HRU continuously organizes informational-educational campaigns and conducts trainings for various population groups and organizations. HRU has extensive experience in implementing research studies in the field of infectious diseases. The union members include public health specialists, doctors, nurses, epidemiologists, biostatisticians, psychologists and lawyers. The majority of HRU members have received education or advanced qualifications at the universities and research institutions of USA and Western Europe.

HRU has a regional office in West Georgia, which significantly contributes to the organization's activities at the regional level.
