Daniel Dow

Medical Director of the Diagnostic Imaging Program at HealthHelp

Daniel Dow is a highly experienced medical professional with a focus on healthcare innovation and management. Daniel currently holds the position of Chief Innovation Officer at Healthcare Shares, a crowdfunding platform for healthcare professionals. In this role, they oversee the launch of an innovative investment vehicle that allows healthcare professionals to invest in transformative businesses for a positive social impact.

Prior to this, Daniel served as the Medical Director of the Diagnostic Imaging Program at HealthHelp, a Utilization Management company. With over 20 years of clinical experience, they played a crucial role in diagnostic imaging case reviews and consultations, as well as directing the Site of Service Program and serving on the Physician Advisory Committee for Guidelines and Site Certification Program.

In addition, Daniel has been actively involved with Health Wildcatters, where they act as a mentor and investor for healthcare startups. Daniel provides strategic planning and execution support, connects resources and strategy, and offers leadership advice on finding practical solutions to business challenges.

Before their current roles, Daniel worked as a Medical Doctor at Red River Valley Radiology Associates for almost two decades, from July 2003 to December 2021.

Daniel Dow completed their Bachelor of Science degree at The University of Texas at Austin from 1991 to 1994. Daniel then pursued further education at UT Health San Antonio and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from 1995 to 1999. Subsequently, they attended UT Southwestern Medical Center where they completed a residency in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology from 1999 to 2004.
