Healthier Weight is a UK based weight loss surgery provider specialising in gastric band, sleeve, bypass and balloon procedures. Since it was founded in 2003 it has grown to become one of Europe’s largest specialist private clinics in its field.

Founded by Epidemiologist Dr David Ashton the company’s heritage is based on healthcare and data-driven decision making. In keeping with this heritage, Healthier Weight remains one of the only private providers to publish its data*.

Through specialising in bariatrics the company has been able to develop a patient package and service that is tailored to the specific needs of weight loss surgery patients.

In recent years it has extended its service across the country and now has clinics in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Southampton, Newport, Wolverhampton, Belfast, Shrewsbury, Maidstone and Durham.

In addition to its surgical expertise, the company also provides non-surgical programmes through its gastric balloon and medical programme Slim Without Surgery.

In order to maintain the highest standards of clinical and corporate governance the company operates a clinical governance committee, bariatric advisory board and is registered with the Care Quality Commission and the Financial Conduct Authority.
