Tom Murphy

Tom Murphy currently serves as the Executive Editor of Autoweek at Hearst Autos since January 2022. Prior experience includes the role of Managing Editor at WardsAuto from September 2017 to February 2022 and various editorial positions at Ward's Automotive Group from April 1997 to February 2022, culminating as Executive Editor for WardsAuto World magazine. Tom began a career in journalism with reporting roles at The Oakland Press, The Times Herald, and The Macomb Daily between 1984 and 1997. Tom holds a Bachelor's degree in journalism and political science from Wayne State University, obtained in 1987.
