Mark Evans

Mark Evans has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the construction industry. Mark started their career as a Site Engineer with Downer & Company in 1989 and then worked as a Design Engineer at Coode Blizard Ltd from 1991 to 1993. Mark gained further experience as a Project Engineer at Downer Construction (PNG) Ltd in 1994. Moving on, they joined The Fletcher Construction Company Ltd in 1995 and worked there as a Project Director/ Commercial Manager for 15 years until 2010. Mark then joined Leighton Contractors as a Senior Project Manager and worked there from 2010 to 2015. Currently, Mark serves as the Chief Executive Officer at HEB Construction, a position they have held since October 2020. Prior to their role as CEO, they were the General Manager - National Projects at HEB Construction from 2015 to October 2020.

Mark Evans obtained a Bachelor (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Canterbury in 1988. In 2005, they also earned a P.G. Cert in Business from The University of Auckland. Additionally, they have certifications in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn and CMEngNZ from IPENZ, with the specific years of obtaining the certifications not provided.
