Loralee Johnstone

Loralee Johnstone currently serves as the Director of Indigenous Affairs & Canadian Community Relations at Hecla Mining Company, a position held since June 2023. With extensive experience in environmental and community relations, Loralee has been an Independent Consultant at Echo Mountain Ranch since May 2016, and previously held various leadership roles including Vice President of Environment Social Governance at Minto Metals Corp. from November 2021 to May 2023 and Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility at Whitehorse Gold Corp. from December 2020 to November 2021. Additional experience includes Director of Permitting and Sustainability at Coeur Silvertip and Vice President of Permitting and Community Affairs at JDS Silver Inc. Over the years, Loralee has also contributed to community and environmental governance as Chairperson of the Yukon Water Board and in managerial positions at the Yukon Environmental and Socio-Economic Assessment Board. Educational credentials include a diploma in Renewable Resource Management from Yukon College.
