Alec Harrell

Alec Harrell is an experienced design engineer currently serving as Design Engineer IV at HED since July 2025. Prior to this role, Alec worked at Southland Industries as Mechanical Design Engineer II from May 2019 to July 2025, where significant contributions included the design of a new central plant for a 1940s VA hospital. Earlier positions included roles as a Design Intern and Project Engineering Intern at Southland Engineering, a Physics Learning Assistant at Arizona State University, and various internships that provided a solid foundation in mechanical engineering. Alec holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University, obtained in 2019.
