Simon Olson

Simon Olson has extensive experience in the technology and investment sectors, currently serving as a Hedera Council Representative at Hedera since February 2018, where significant contributions have been made to the adoption of distributed ledger technology and the governance of the Hedera network. Prior roles include Director of New Business Development and Director of Investor Relations at Magazine Luiza (Magalu), achieving notable successes in investor relations and business development. Simon also founded Galactic Capital and held key positions at Google, DFJ FIR Capital Brazil, Galt Capital, and Fenwick & West, building a strong track record in venture capital, business development, and corporate law. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
