Sofie Deboes

Sofie Deboes has a diverse work experience spanning over several years in the fashion and design industry. Sofie joined Hedgren in 2022 as the Global Director of Product & Design. Before that, they worked at RENSON Ventilation - Sunprotection - Outdoor from 2021 to 2022 as the Head of Product Strategy. Sofie also had an extensive tenure at Samsonite, where they held multiple roles, including Director of Product Marketing Europe | VM & Training from 2017 to 2020, and Product Marketing Manager for Softside & Casual Europe from 2012 to 2017. Before joining Samsonite, Sofie worked as an Independent Sales Agent & Product Consultant at Hedgren from 2011 to 2012, and as a Visual Merchandising Manager at AS Adventure from 2009 to 2011. Sofie also had various positions at Samsonite, including Visual Merchandising Manager Europe from 2007 to 2009, Product Marketing Manager for Travel, Casual & Kids from 2003 to 2007, and Designer & Product Manager for Softside, Casual & Casual Business Europe from 1997 to 2003. Sofie began their career as a Designer at Kipling in 1997, and they had a brief stint as a Designer at STUDIO PIETER STOCKMANS in 1996.

Sofie Deboes attended OLV College Tienen from 1985 to 1991, where they completed Latin- Greek classic secondary education. Sofie then went on to study at LUCA School of Arts from 1991 to 1996, earning a Master's degree in Industrial and Product Design.
