Carlijn Smeets

Carlijn Smeets currently serves as an HR-adviseur at HEEMwonen since May 2024. Prior to this role, Carlijn spent over seven years at Decathlon Nederland, where responsibilities included team leadership in HR operations, salary administration, absence management, workforce management, and data analysis. Positions held at Decathlon included HR Operations team leader, HR-medewerker, and HR Manager in Breda, where all HR processes for the branch were managed. Earlier experience includes roles at Di Legno, where strategic management tools were applied, as well as internships in communication and marketing at TCD Trust and Ashanti Lodge, respectively. Carlijn holds a master's degree in management with a focus on international marketing strategy from Hasselt University and a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, along with a PDL certification from NCOI Opleidingen.
