Founded in 1973 by Gary Hegenes, Hegenes Properties was built on a simple belief that continues to guide us today: it's never just about the brick and mortar, it's about the people. That philosophy drives our purpose of building communities where people flourish.

As an owner, operator, and developer of multifamily and medical real estate throughout Minnesota and North Dakota, we are committed to creating places where residents, teammates, partners, vendors, and the neighborhoods we serve can thrive.

Guided by the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), our vision is clear: 10,000 people flourishing daily. We pursue that vision by living our HARD ASK core values every day: Humility, Accountability, Relationships, Drive, Always Learning, and Service with Kindness.

More than 50 years later, we're proud to serve communities across the Minneapolis metro, Northfield, Elk River, Alexandria, Duluth, Cloquet, and the Fargo-Moorhead area. Every community we invest in is an opportunity to create places people are proud to call home, and where they can truly flourish.
