Sam Lapides is an experienced library professional with a career spanning over a decade at Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library, currently serving as Special Projects Coordinator since January 2012. In this role, Sam coordinates enhancements to the library through grant writing, outreach improvement, and strategic planning, while also leading Emotional Intelligence training for staff. Previous positions include Young Adult Services Coordinator and Young Adult Services Librarian, where responsibilities included supervising staff, managing budgets, and programming for young adults. Sam holds a Master of Library & Information Science and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Kent State University, along with experience as a Graduate Student Assistant and an Assistant Language Teacher with the Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program.
