Jeff is a computing industry luminary, holding over 90 patents. With 24 years of service at IBM, he was appointed as an IBM Fellow in 2001. He served as Corporate CTO at EMC from 2004 to 2012, where he was responsible for cross-product technology strategy and played a major role in setting technical direction for EMC’s M&A activities in the areas of cloud computing, software-defined data center and data analytics. At Pivotal from 2013 to 2015, Jeff served as Senior Vice President and Chief Solutions Architect from Pivotal’s inception as a spin out from EMC and VMware. Pivotal was formed to address the needs of enterprise customers looking to adopt cloud computing and leverage big data analytics at cloud-scale.
