Patrick Heinisch is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in emerging markets and sovereign credit ratings. Currently serving as an Economist for Landesbank Hessen Thuringen ("Helaba") since December 2014, Patrick leads the sovereign rating unit and engages in macroeconomic forecasting, research, and media appearances. Additionally, Patrick contributes to Oxford Analytica's "Daily Brief," focusing on economic issues in East Africa. Previous roles include a position as a Senior Credit Analyst in country risks at Helaba and a working student role at KfW Entwicklungsbank, where Patrick prepared country risk assessments for sub-Saharan Africa. Patrick holds a Master of Science in International Economics and Public Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Economic Sciences from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, along with an industrial management assistant certification from EFACI in France.
