Suman Alishetty

Suman Alishetty, Ph.D., currently serves as the VP of Drug Delivery at Helex since October 2025. Prior to this role, Suman was an Assistant Professor and Researcher at George Mason University from August 2018 to October 2025, where efforts concentrated on developing innovative lipid and lipid nanoparticle systems for the delivery of mRNA, proteins, and small molecules. Suman's background includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at George Mason University, focusing on bioengineering lipid-based drug delivery systems. Additionally, Suman co-founded AexeRNA Therapeutics, which specializes in mRNA therapeutics utilizing a proprietary lipid and lipid nanoparticle delivery system. Suman earned a Ph.D. in Organic and Conducting Polymers from National Tsing Hua University and completed postdoctoral research in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at George Mason University.
