David Cecil

David Cecil, ASA, is a seasoned actuarial professional currently serving as a Senior Actuarial Analyst at Helia since April 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Staff Actuary at Transamerica, where David led experience investigations, performed exploratory data analysis, and developed solutions to enhance data quality using SQL and Alteryx. David also executed Sarbanes-Oxley controls, coordinated retirement valuation processes, and presented complex findings to senior leadership. Previous positions include Actuarial Assistant at Guardian Life, contributing to individual life pricing and product development, as well as a Data and IT Intern at the New York Department of Transportation. David holds a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Hunter College, a Master of Music in Cello Performance from Stony Brook University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Music from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
