Michael Miller

Sr, Field Agronomy Manager Southern Business Unit at Heliae

Michael Miller has over 35 years of experience in the agriculture industry. Michael began their career in 1984 as a Researcher at Molecular Genetics Inc., where they conducted maize plant tissue culture and field research and developed and maintained hybridoma cell lines for monoclonal antibody production. In 1987, they joined Bioseeds International, Inc./Calgene as a Researcher, where they participated in ground floor start-up activities and monocot tissue culture and transformation systems development. Michael then moved to The Green Giant Company in 1990 as a Senior Researcher, where they developed vegetable transformation and micropropagation systems. In 1994, they joined DuPont Pioneer as a Research Scientist, where they developed plant genomic engineering technologies and information systems for tracking company-wide processes, assured continuous process improvement and managed external collaborations. Michael then moved to Heliae in 2016 as a Sr. Field Agronomy Manager for the Southern Business Unit, where they provided technical expertise in support of Heliae sales personnel and commercialization efforts, strategic guidance and technical expertise for large food company accounts, guidance and accountability for commercial client trials, built and fostered an extensive network of relationships with a very diverse set of growers throughout the US, and developed and nurtured strong working relationships with crop advisors and distributors throughout the Southern Business Unit.

Michael Miller obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Minnesota. Michael also holds a Six Sigma Greenbelt certification obtained in 2007, as well as a Licensed and Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) certification from the American Society of Agronomy.
