Asia Mitchell

Asia Mitchell, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Technical Product Manager in Bioinformatics at Helix, starting in September 2023. Previously, Asia held several roles at Invitae, including Product Lead for Research Services and Product Manager for Research & Innovation. During tenure at Invitae, Asia successfully managed the launch of an automated platform for genomic data capture and collaborated across multiple functions to innovate research products. Earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Scholar position at the Oregon Health & Science University, managing data infrastructure for the Healthy Oregon Project and developing strategies for genetic risk assays. Asia's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Molecular and Medical Genetics from Oregon Health & Science University and a Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
