Simon Schmelzer

Simon Schmelzer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in project and program management across multiple prestigious organizations. At HELLA, from May 2023 to July 2015, Simon held various positions including Global Project Manager, Director Program Manager GM, Global Program Manager Production for GM and the VW Group, Senior Project Manager, and Global Program Manager Development. Prior experience includes an internship in Industrial Engineering at Daimler Trucks North America in 1992, and roles in strategic planning and factory planning at Hella from January 2001 to June 2006. Additionally, Simon worked as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF from July 1994 to September 1997. Simon Schmelzer holds a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Fertigungstechnik from the University of Stuttgart, completed in 1992.
