Athanasios Papantonis

Athanasios Papantonis is a civil engineer with extensive experience in project management and construction supervision, particularly in the mining and environmental sectors. From January 2009 to April 2018, freelance work allowed for a diverse range of projects. Since January 2018, Athanasios has served as the Kokkinolakkas Tailings Management Facility Construction & Operation Supervising Engineer at Hellas Gold S.A., overseeing significant construction activities and risk assessment projects. This role includes responsibilities as a project manager and construction project coordinator for various initiatives, including the Underground Workshop and Main Shaft Rehabilitation projects, as well as overseeing upgrades and repairs in water treatment facilities and infrastructure. Education includes a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a diploma in Renewable Resources from Universidad Camilo José Cela.
