The Hellenic Informatics Union is the professional and scientific association of the Greek Informatics, who are the Computer Scientists and Engineers holding a University Degree. 

The Union was formed in 2001 to materialize the vision for the development of Information & Communication Technology in Greece to the benefit of its members, of the economy and the society as a whole.

The foundation of the "Hellenic Chamber of Informatics and Communications" is a strategic objective towards this direction.

The Union is managed by a board of five members reporting to the annual General Assembly. Applying a distributed operational model, the Union is supported by 13 chapters around Greece.
