Melanie Smith

Melanie Smith is the founder of Hello Comply, a role they began in 2025 to help UK estate and lettings agents stay AML compliant. They have previously led customer experience and compliance efforts across multiple organisations, including as Head of Customer Experience at GOTO Group (2024–2025), Senior Customer Success Manager at Smart Compliance (2023–2024), and Head of Compliance at LSL Property Services (2019–2023). Earlier in their career, they served as Group Customer Relations Manager/Deputy MLRO at Spicerhaart (2006–2018) and held roles at Comet Group Plc (1994–1999; 2005–2006) and More Th>n (R&SA) (1999–2004). They also served as a Unitary Councillor for Buckinghamshire Council from 2021 to 2025.
