Matthew Murphy

Matthew Murphy, LCSW, is an experienced clinical social worker with a diverse background in various therapeutic modalities including CBT, ACT, and family therapies. Currently employed at Alma as a Clinical Social Worker since August 2022, Matthew is dedicated to assisting individuals with anxiety, mentoring parents of children with ASD/DD, and supporting couples and families. Additionally, Matthew has worked at MDLIVE, Inc. as a Counselor conducting therapy via telehealth, and previously served as a Social Worker at Maine Behavioral Healthcare, providing support in developmental disorders. Other notable roles include clinical social work at Hospice of Southern Maine, providing care to patients and families, and educational support to K-6 students during a tenure at Pathways. Matthew holds an MSW from Adelphi University and a Master of Divinity degree from Denver Seminary, complementing an extensive professional journey that began in youth ministry.
