Dr Barney Gilbert

Dr Barney Gilbert has worked in a variety of fields since 2012. Dr Barney began their career as a Research Fellow with the Centre for Social Justice in 2012, and then became a Kennedy Scholar at Harvard University in 2014. That same year, they also took a position as a Researcher with Wellframe. In 2016, they joined the NHS as a Psychiatrist. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Co-Founder at Pando and as an Investor/Advisor with various startups. Most recently, in 2021, they took on the role of NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow (Brain Sciences) at Imperial College London.

Dr Barney Gilbert completed their undergraduate degree in Medicine from the University of Oxford in 2012, followed by an MA Oxon from the same university in 2014. Dr Barney then went on to become a Research Fellow in Economics at Harvard University from 2014 to 2015. In 2018, they became a Faculty Member of the Faculty of Clinical Informatics. In 2021, they obtained certifications in Data Analytics from Google and Machine Learning from Stanford University. Dr Barney is currently a Research Fellow in Brain Sciences at Imperial College London, where they are expected to complete their degree in 2023.
