David Hegarty

David Hegarty has a wealth of experience in various roles in the tech industry. David began their career in 2000 as a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company. In 2007, they joined Microsoft's Corporate Strategy Group, where they specialized in emerging opportunities in Cloud, Mobile, and the consumerization of enterprise technology. In 2009, they became the CEO and Founder of Signature Labs Inc. In 2013, they held the role of Director of Product at Sidecar Technologies, Inc., and also served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Merus Capital. From 2014 to 2016, they were the CEO and Co-Founder of Fixed, Inc., and then joined Opendoor as the Senior Director of City Strategy & Operations, Head of Expansion, Product Lead of Home Resale & Interim-VP of Sales, and Product Lead of Home Operations & Renovations. In 2018, they became the Director of Product Management for Personal Loans at Credit Karma. In 2020, they were a Founder-in-Residence at Atomic, and in 2021, they founded and became the CEO of Playbook, a financial app for higher-earning millennials with a focus on tax optimization.

David Hegarty received their MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management between 2005 and 2007. David also obtained a B. Eng in Engineering from University College Dublin between 1996 and 2000.
