Matt Lynch has an extensive work history that spans over several years. π Matt began their career as a Software Development Intern at Siemens Healthcare, where they installed server-cluster based software on live medical systems and implemented tools to improve installation efficiency. π Matt then worked as a Resident Assistant at Drexel University, where they ensured the well-being of students and planned community-building events.
Matt then joined the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, US Navy as a Computer Engineering Intern and later as a Software Engineer. In these roles, they wrote distributed control software, developed communication software for control systems, and redesigned diagnostics for a machinery control system. π Matt also led a team of developers in drafting a Java MIL standard and redesigned machinery command functionality.
After their time in the Navy, Matt joined Palantir Technologies as a Forward Deployed Software Engineer, where they managed executive-level IT relationships and designed and implemented large-scale data ingest pipelines. π Matt also contributed to the development of the Sawmill log aggregation tool. π Matt later transitioned to roles as a Lead Forward Deployed Software Engineer and Software Engineering Team Lead, where they managed teams, designed scalable software solutions, and improved application functionality and accessibility.
Currently, Matt is serving as the CTO and Co-founder of Sage, a position they assumed in 2021.
Matt Lynch attended Penn State University from 2012 to 2013, where they pursued a Master of Software Engineering (M.S.E.) degree with a focus on Software Engineering. Prior to that, they studied at Drexel University from 2005 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering.
