Mark Glendenning has a diverse work experience in the finance field. Mark is currently the Head of Finance at Stake, a position they have held since July 2023. Prior to that, they were the Group Financial Controller at Stake from May 2021 to August 2023.
Before joining Stake, Mark worked at Baringa Partners where they held various roles. Mark was a Manager in the CFO Advisory capability from March 2019 to May 2021, where they helped clients shape and convert their finance strategy into reality. In this role, they led projects for leading UK supermarket, global publishing company, and UK telco provider, focusing on process improvement, organization design, and financial control. Mark also worked as a Senior Consultant at Baringa Partners from February 2018 to February 2019.
Mark has had experience as a self-employed finance professional at Falun Enterprises Ltd. Mark was a Director and delivered two accounting and finance contracts. Mark supported the implementation of Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) into the De Beers group and led a project workstream for improved governance and control of balance sheet reconciliations at Dentsu Aegis Network.
Mark started their career at EY, where they worked as a Senior Accountant from March 2013 to March 2017 and as an Accountant from February 2013 to September 2015.
Mark Glendenning completed NCEA Level 3 at Tawa College from 2006 to 2008. Mark then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting and Commercial Law from Victoria University of Wellington, graduating in 2011. Currently, they are pursuing a Chartered Accountant qualification from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, starting in 2015.
