Jacob Payne

Jacob Payne has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple industries. Jacob began their career as a Street Team Member for the Chicago Bears in 2015, where they managed promotional events and interacted with fans. Jacob then joined the Hypest Team in 2016 as a Social Media Manager, Writer, and Tournament Organizer for a Smash Brothers-centered e-Sports team. Jacob played a major role in the media coverage of Heir 3, the biggest tournament in the United Kingdom. In 2017, Jacob worked as a Contributing Writer for SB Nation, analyzing opponents of the Chicago Fire soccer team.

Moving into the tech industry, Jacob joined Uber in 2015, initially working as an Incident Response Investigator, responding to critical incidents and helping to develop processes for efficient operations. Jacob later became a Team Lead, managing a training team and supporting improvements in existing support processes. In 2018, they joined Kin Insurance as a Consultant, managing sales cycles and exceeding target sales goals.

Jacob then transitioned into the field of recruiting, starting with roles at The Jacobson Group in 2019 and 2020 as a Recruitment Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator, respectively. Jacob supported the Contingent Workforce Solutions team by coordinating candidates and maintaining excellent customer service. Most recently, Jacob joined Wisp in 2023 as a Recruiting Coordinator.

Jacob Payne attended DePaul University from 2011 to 2015, where they pursued a degree in Journalism with a focus on Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs. In 2014, they briefly studied at The University of Bonn, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
