John Schroeder

John Schroeder has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and technology. John currently holds the position of Software Engineering Team Lead at wisp since December 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from August 2019 to December 2021, where they served as a Software Development Engineer in AWS Benchmarking. Before joining AWS, they worked at AWS Elemental, an Amazon Web Services Company, as a Software Development Engineer from December 2016 to August 2019. John also has experience as a Technical Consultant at Jama Software from August 2015 to December 2016. John worked at Portland State University in various roles, including Capstone Team Lead, Technical Course Support Facilitator, and Lead Developer from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, they worked as a Bioinformatics Intern at OHSU | Oregon Health & Science University from June 2014 to September 2014. John's early experience includes working as a Developer at Portland State Aerospace Society from September 2013 to June 2014, where they contributed to the implementation of long-distance WiFi connections and made changes to open-source 802.11 drivers.

John Schroeder holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Portland State University, which they obtained from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended Carrington College-Portland from 2011 to 2012, where they obtained a Practical Nursing License. In addition to their education, John has also obtained certifications such as a SAFe Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. in August 2016, and a Practical Nursing License from the Oregon State Board of Nursing in July 2012.
