Ian MacDougall

Ian MacDougall has extensive work experience in various roles within the petrochemical industry. Their most recent position was as Vice President Strategic Projects North America at HELM AG, where they were responsible for building strategic partnerships and expanding the company's businesses in the US and globally. Prior to that, MacDougall worked as the Director of Strategic Projects Americas at HELM AG, operating out of their Houston office. Ian has also held roles at Americas Styrenics LLC as Director of Corporate Planning, at MacDougall & Associates LLC as Managing Partner, and at Shell Chemicals L.P. as Commercial Excellence Manager and Commercial Manager Styrene Americas. In the latter role, they managed the entire scope of Shell's styrene monomer business in the Americas region and led successful negotiations for major product and feedstock agreements. MacDougall also served as Shell Chemicals' representative in a consortium developing a petrochemical futures trading exchange. Ian MacDougall earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto. Ian attended the university from 1979 to 1983.
