Lillian Fernandes is Deputy CEO at Helpful Engineering. Lillian has over 9 years of experience in finance and transformation.

Lillian started their career at Strut Creative as an account manager. Lillian developed multimedia corporate communications, strategic marketing plans and social media strategies to enhance clients’ brand identities and raise awareness of initiatives. During their time at Strut Creative, they managed and directed end-to-end communication initiatives for leading Energy and Infrastructure corporations, expanding the flagship portfolio size by over 15%.

In October 2012, Lillian joined SNC-Lavalin as Director of Financial Transformation and Optimization. In this role, they were in charge of leading the Corp. Business Transformation team focused on Financial Transformation Projects – Strategic Initiatives tied to Corporate Strategy and M&A Target Integration Objectives. During their time at SNC-Lavalin, they drove the global implementation of SAP Concur Expense for the SNC-Group across 6 Regions including 50 countries, and provided strategic analysis, planning and recommendations for preauthorized travel solutions.

Lillian left SNC-Lavalin in April 2019 to join KPMG as Finance Strategy & Transformation. In this role, they were responsible for leading finance transformation projects across various industries.

Lillian has been with Helpful Engineering since June 2020 and currently serves as Deputy CEO. In this role, they are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company and works closely with the CEO to develop and implement Helpful Engineering’s long-term strategy.

Lillian Fernandes has a degree in Biology from the University of Mumbai, a Master of Business Administration from MET Institute of Management Studies, and a certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the University of Calgary. Lillian also has a certification in Public Relations from Mount Royal University.
