Michael Bellavia has worked in a variety of roles in the media industry. Starting in 2000, they were the Lead Strategist at Concrete Media. In 2002, they became the CEO of Animax, where they ran an Emmy award-winning production company and oversaw creative, production, and technology teams. In 2005, they became a Creative Technology Mentor at the American Film Institute Digital Content Lab. From 2007 to 2014, they were a Member, VP New Media, and Board of Delegates for the Producers Guild of America. In 2012, they were the Co-Organizer of the Million Puppet March, a mobilization event that occurred in Washington DC and set a world record. In 2014, they became an Advisor at Brave Trails and a Vision Council Member at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. In 2016, they became a Member of the Digital Advisory Council at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). In 2017, they became the CEO of HelpGood, an award-winning, B Corp certified social impact agency, and Co-Owner of Tiny Sweaters.
Michael Bellavia received their MBA in Marketing from Columbia Business School in 1999 and their BS in Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1991.
