Established in 2010, Helping Hoops Inc. is an independent Naarm based charity running free weekly basketball programs for 650+ children and young people. Our programs are open to children of all abilities aged 8 to 25. Using the vehicle of basketball we aim to:

-	Build self-esteem
-	Identify and assist in developing young community leaders
-	Teach the power of ONE TEAM
-	Build trust and foster relationship
-	Promote social inclusion
-	Provide exercise and promote an active lifestyle
-	Advocate for the removal of barriers that prevent equal access to all


Children attending Helping Hoops programs may be:
 
-	From multicultural backgrounds,
-	Living with an intellectually disability,
-	Experiencing ongoing financial difficulties,
-	Residents in public housing estates
