With a worldwide patented freight wagon technology, the company enables the decarbonization of long-haul supply chains by shifting freight transport from road to rail. Helrom provides a barrier-free loading process for all trailers – without expensive loading terminals, cranes or craneable semi-trailers. 

Helrom sees itself as an alternative to conventional road transportation and offers comparable flexibility and punctuality thanks to its innovative loading technology. Helrom's operating model ensures reliability that goes far beyond previous rail transport. 

Currently, HELROM is operating a successful connection between Germany and Austria with a logistical catchment area consisting of Hungary, Romania and Serbia all the way to the Benelux and the UK. The company is supported by the German Federal Government and has been awarded numerous environmental prizes. Per 1,000 km, each Helrom Trailer wagon saves an average of 800 kg of CO2 emissions compared to a truck.

Strategic financing partners such as Societe Generale, Deutsche Anlagen Leasing and the anchor investor Swiss Life Asset Management support the company's growth path. This path is now to be continued in North America.
