Hemenover Construction began in the rural farm community of Clifton, Illinois. George Hemenover and his brother Bill spent days on end painting and repairing old farm buildings. His reputation for getting the job done right the first time quickly made a mark for himself in the community.

Farm buildings and sheds turned into farmhouses and homes. In 1970 Don Hemenover joined the team and continued in his father’s steps, never leaving a stone unturned or a nail head unfilled. Don grew the business on the same core values George had instilled -- quality and integrity. Matthew, the third generation builder, brings experience from a large national builder who focuses on continuous improvement yet never losing sight of his grandpa and dad’s work ethic.

Since 1936 we have been building our reputation on quality and integrity. Our custom homes and exquisite remodels provide quality craftsmanship and an unrivaled customer experience.

From preliminary design through final selections, let us help you create your dream home. As Kankakee County’s premier custom home builder, Hemenover Construction can make your dream home a reality.
