Ivan Rich

Founder, Chairman & CEO at Hemogenix®

Ivan Rich has been involved in various roles in the medical field since 1973. Ivan began their career as a Research Associate at the University of Ulm. In 1980, they took a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Chicago Dept. of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. From 1983 to 1996, they were an Assistant and Associate Professor at the German Red Cross Blood Bank. In 1986, they took a sabbatical at Harvard University Medical School. From 1996 to 2000, they were a Professor and Director of Basic Research at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital & University of South Carolina. In 2000, they founded, became Chairman & CEO of HemoGenix, Inc. In 2017, they became President of Preferred Cell Systems, where they took over production and sales of all HemoGenix assay kits and reagent products for stem cell, basic and veterinary research, cellular therapy, regenerative medicine, immunotherapy and in vitro toxicity testing. Ivan also added new products such as AllColonies and MultiCellGro.

Ivan Rich completed their BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Sussex between 1970 and 1973. Ivan then went on to pursue their PhD in Human Biology from Ulm University, which they completed in 1978.
