Mark Hennessy

Mark Hennessy currently serves as the Head of Quality at HemoSonics, focusing on the Quantra® System, which employs the patented SEER technology for measuring clot stiffness using advanced ultrasound. Prior to this role, Mark was the Director of Quality Engineering at Titan Medical Inc. and the RA/QA Manager at Leica Microsystems, where the latter specialized in Optical Coherence Tomography systems for ophthalmic applications. Mark's experience also includes serving as an R&D Program Manager at Asensus Surgical, contributing to the development of the SurgiBot® robotic surgery system, and working as a Senior Program Engineer at Cobham, where expertise supported protective systems for the Pentagon. Mark began a career as a Research Engineer at MIT Lincoln Laboratory after obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University.
