Li Kang

Li Kang is an accomplished Lead Research Chemist at Henkel Loctite since July 2011, specializing in the development of 2K Polyurethane, Silicone, and Acrylic adhesives for industrial applications. Key contributions include optimizing and scaling up the functional polyisobutylene reaction and conducting experiments on fluid mechanics and thermodynamics for new oligomers and catalysts. Prior to this role, Li Kang served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Auburn University, focusing on innovative processes for pulp and paper mills and renewable fuel production. Experience also includes a position as a Research Scientist at Shanghai ChemExplorer Co., Ltd, where collaboration with Eli Lilly and Company facilitated new medicine discovery and pharmaceutical intermediate synthesis.
