Scott Smith

Scott Smith is a seasoned legal professional specializing in intellectual property, particularly in patent law. Smith's career commenced at the Plant Bioactives Research Institute as a Laboratory Analyst and continued at Thorpe North & Western from April 2004 to April 2005 as a Registered Patent Agent and Registered Patent Attorney. Currently, Smith serves as Senior Patent Counsel at Henkel since January 2017, also holding the title of Patent Counsel. Smith's diverse legal expertise encompasses patent preparation, procurement, and comprehensive legal opinions across various technologies, including pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and nutritional products. Smith holds a B.S. in Molecular Biology from Brigham Young University and a J.D. from BYU Law School.
