Kai Bubenheim

Kai Bubenheim is a Technical Manager at HENSOLDT since October 2018, overseeing quality management throughout the product life cycle and leading the project quality assurance team for IFF/COMMS. Previously, at OHB System from October 2015 to September 2018, Kai served as a Materials, Mechanical Parts and Processes Engineer, focusing on materials control for space projects and failure analysis. Prior roles included Research Engineer at Airbus Group Innovations, where a PhD thesis investigated the high-temperature degradation of copper-silver-zirconium alloys, and various engineering positions at EADS Astrium, MTU Aero Engines, and Wayand GmbH, emphasizing materials behavior in high-temperature conditions. Kai holds a Dr.-Ing. and Dipl.-Ing. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Stuttgart and has completed an exchange program at the University of Oklahoma.
