Emre Rençberoğlu

Emre Rençberoğlu has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities in the field of data science and analysis. Emre currently serves as the Head of Data Science at Hepsiburada, where they lead a team of 14 data scientists. At Hepsiburada, they are responsible for developing a machine learning infrastructure and building a personalized marketing automation tool. Alongside their role at Hepsiburada, Emre also works as a LiveProject Author & Mentor at Manning Publications Co., focusing on data science education.

Prior to their current roles, Emre worked as a Senior Data Scientist at BiTaksi, where they created end-to-end data pipelines and built prediction and segmentation models. Emre also designed executive dashboards on Apache Superset. As a Data Scientist at Commencis, Emre generated prediction and recommendation models, worked on Palantir Foundry deployment projects, and built machine learning applications on the cloud.

Emre's earlier experience includes working as a Data Scientist at Yapı Kredi, where they built prediction and clustering models, improved analytics datamart through feature engineering, and performed geospatial data analysis. Before entering the field of data science, they gained experience as a Scientific Project Researcher at Bogazici University and as a Data Analyst at GroupM, where they optimized and examined campaign data and developed web analytics reports.

In addition to their professional roles, Emre also served as a Membership Program Representative at IKSV, where they took part in organizing events and promoted the membership program.

Emre Rençberoğlu holds a Master's degree in Management Information Systems from Boğaziçi University, which they obtained from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, attending from 2007 to 2012. Emre also studied Mathematics at the University of Stuttgart for a year, from 2010 to 2011. In terms of certifications, they completed several Coursera courses such as "R Programming," "The Data Scientist’s Toolbox," and "Regression Models" in 2015 and 2016. Additionally, they obtained the Google Analytics Individual Qualification in 2014.
