Carl Ponader, Ph.D., is a materials scientist and group leader with extensive experience utilizing spectroscopic tools to address research and production challenges. Currently a Senior R&D Scientist at Heraeus since 2014, Carl previously served as a materials scientist at Corning Incorporated from 1988 to 2014, where they led Raman and Electron Paramagnetic Resonance laboratories. They are pursuing a Ph.D. in Geochemistry at Stanford University and hold a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude in Geology from Duke University. With patents pending in several areas, Carl applies their knowledge of glass structure and chemistry to enhance product capabilities.
