Thomas Spernat

Thomas Spernat has extensive experience in the field of intellectual property, currently serving as Head of Intellectual Property at Heraeus since July 2016, overseeing a department of 22 employees across Germany, the USA, and China. Prior to this role, Thomas held leadership positions in intellectual property at Knorr-Bremse and Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG, where responsibilities included managing IP rights and supporting various business units. Thomas also worked at Siemens AG in various capacities, including Group Head IP and Chief Manager of Intellectual Property, alongside a role focused on healthcare IT. Thomas holds a Diploma in Physics from TU Dortmund University and attended graduate studies at The Ohio State University.
