Daniel Maina

Daniel Maina is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in geographic information systems (GIS) and content management. With a tenure at HERE since May 2012 as a Senior Content Acquisition & Community Analyst and Team Lead, Daniel focuses on the creation and maintenance of the 'Maps for Life' content across Sub Saharan Africa. Previously, at ESRI Eastern Africa from July 2010 to April 2012, Daniel served as a GIS Analyst and Systems Engineer, specializing in GIS data models, technical proposals, and client support. Daniel's earlier role as an International Intern at Esri in California involved software testing and hydrological modeling, complemented by consulting experience with Solidarites Humanitarian Aid, where strategic GIS solutions were developed for humanitarian projects. Education includes Esri instructor-led courses in Geography and Information Science.
