Iiro Kaihlaniemi

Iiro Kaihlaniemi is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in architectural and engineering roles. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Architect at HERE Technologies since July 2014, Iiro plays a pivotal role in the CTO Office and Research team, driving technology initiatives and designing the next generation of mapping platforms utilizing Deep Learning and SLAM technologies. Prior to this, Iiro spent over two decades at Nokia, where roles included Hardware and Telephony Technical Lead, Principal System Architect, and Senior Technology Manager, focusing on future smartphone systems and system software studies. Iiro holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tampere University of Technology, earned between 1988 and 1994.
