Liming Wang is a Principal Data Scientist at HERE Technologies since October 2017, specializing in deep learning, large-scale geospatial data processing, computer vision, and image processing. Wang has led research initiatives in Highly Autonomous Driving projects and developed AI/ML algorithms for UniMap, a groundbreaking mapping technology. Prior to HERE, Wang held postdoctoral associate positions at The Ohio State University and Duke University, focusing on high-dimensional data processing, machine learning, and bioinformatics. Wang also conducted research at Columbia University and served as a research assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Mathematics were earned. An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering was obtained from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
