Hero To Be is a multi-award-winning non-profit based in Stockholm, and winner of the UNHCR Global Innovation Award 2020.

We build the capacity of society’s most vulnerable children and families by turning scientific best practices into culturally adaptive narratives. These narratives change perspectives and behaviors, leading to a sustainable future.

Prioritizing well-being, resilience, empowerment, psychosocial support, and integration, we've impacted the lives of over 62,242 refugee and immigrant children and families in Europe and the Middle East through life-changing capacity-building programs in schools, homes, and refugee camps.

We pioneer digital platforms for social and emotional learning and create animated programs that foster tolerance and inclusion. Moreover, we offer extensive training to parents, teachers, municipalities, and governmental organizations on integrating immigrants and refugees. Furthermore, we partner with Europe’s finest research institutions to enable them to convert cutting-edge research into impactful tools that benefit a vast number of immigrants and refugees in Europe and beyond.

Our core value is to shift the narrative from victimhood to heroism, enabling individuals to thrive in new societies.
