Bob McNees

Bob McNees is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as the Engineering Director at HeroDevs since January 2025. Prior to this role, Bob held the position of Senior Manager, Engineering at Duquesne Light Company for a brief period and served as Software Engineering Manager at VMware from June 2021 to October 2024, where management of a globally distributed team in the Spring portfolio was a key responsibility. From September 2007 to June 2021, Bob worked at FedEx, initially as a Software Developer and later as IT Manager, where significant contributions included leading the development of a high-availability package sortation system and guiding the transition of FedEx’s mobile application to a native Android platform. Bob holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Waynesburg University and a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Grove City College.
